Garrett wins in a 3-to-1 landslide for Post 1 of Watkinsville City Council
Chuck Garrett defeated Carolyn Maultsby 298-92 in the only remaining contested nonpartisan election in a Special Election to fill the vacancy from Brian Brodrick officially taking over Mayor for the City of Watkinsville. Brodrick had initial opposition from attorney Peter Steckel, who withdrew when he decided to move outside the city limits. Brodrick had been on the council for 14 years.
