Broun does well in poll of GOP Senate field

Broun does well in poll of GOP Senate field Everything about this push phone poll was skewed toward the conservative, but just today Athens native Jack Kingston let it slip at a GOP meeting in Forsyth County that he will be seeking the Republican nomination for US Senate versus Congressman Broun

2014 US Senate Election

I was polled Friday afternoon and there was no identifier, but my support would go toward Michael Thurmond with General David Poythress second and Jane Kidd third. Fourth would have to be a wild card like Rich or Andy Rusk, Stephanie Stuckey Benfield or someone with charisma and deep pockets. Democratic candidates would be very smart to get together and not have a primary and let the Republicans rip and shred themselves apart in a primary to give the Democratic candidate  a real shot in November 2014. I would also support Jason Carter From: Patsy Harris patsydudney@yahoo.com To: Sent: Friday, January 25, 2013 2:15 PM Subject: 2014 US Senate Election Hi District 10 Democratic Leaders! Obama Dispatching Aides To Georgia Senate Race

Now can we get President Obama to help elect a Congressman we won't be so embarrassed by like Dr. Paul Broun? About Barack Obama Read the Article at HuffingtonPost

A Message from Max Cleland

Dear Friend, Torture, cronyism, abuse of power, flagrant disregard for our Constitution, and now what could be the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression. These are just some of the reasons why we need to change course right now.   Our proud Democratic candidates are out there fighting to help us create that change come November 4th. But, I know all too well what can happen when Karl Rove smear and fear tactics are used against Democrats working for change. They did it to me in 2002. Now I'm fighting to make sure they don't get away with it again in 2008. In just 24 hours, we face a critical deadline the last chance to effectively purchase additional ad time for candidates under Republican attack to make sure they can get on the air, stay on the air and never back down. Rush a generous donation of $25, $50, or more before midnight tomorrow. http://www.dccc.org/rovetactics1 We need immediate change from the Karl Rove politics and the Bush-Cheney policies....

Martin for U.S. Senate advertising campaign begins on Georgia TV

Image
Dear Dan, Today, I am honored to send you a copy of our first television commercial of the general election campaign, just as our race emerges as one of the most competitive U.S. Senate races in the country. Honored, because it contains a strong message from my friend, Max Cleland, who was the target of a shameless campaign attack in 2002 carried out by my opponent in this race, Saxby Chambliss. In the ad, Max and I take it directly to Chambliss for supporting economic policies that are wrong for America. We are launching our statewide television campaign with this ad today. We are doing so for two simple reasons:  First, we know that Saxby Chambliss is about to start spending his millions on television, and we do not intend to cede the airwaves to him as we head into the fall. Second, I know that I can count on you . Unlike Saxby Chambliss, I have not spent the past six years building a war chest with the support of the special int...

Jim Martin narrowing the gap with Taxby Sham-bless

Dear Dan, Just one week after winning the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate with a decisive 60% to 40% victory, I have more exciting news to share with you.  Last night, we received very encouraging poll numbers showing us surging and Saxby Chambliss sliding as we head into the general election. Our new poll has us within six points of Chambliss (36% to 42%) and, equally important, it has Chambliss polling substantially below 50%.   There is little doubt that these numbers spell trouble for the incumbent Chambliss. To hardworking folks across the state, this poll will come as no surprise – Georgia voters know all too well that Saxby Chambliss has consistently supported the economic policies that have gotten us into the mess we're in now.  That's why our message of change is gaining traction every day. So, now, our challenge is clear:  We must build the case to reverse George Bush's failed economic policies and remove the main obs...
