Blake Aued of the Banner-Herald made a blog post out of Mark Farmer's comments on the Banner-Herald's story this morning about hearing the first questioner at the Paul Broun town hall ask about who is going to shoot President Obama? Mark Farmer is the witness who has decided to put himself out there for interviews and what not. Now who will be the person to name the man in the red shirt who drove 75 miles to Oglethorpe County last night? Should not take an enterprising Secret Service Agent very long to draw a circle around Lexington and begin to figure our who this is. Then again there is the video the Broun staff was taking. I will give Dr. Broun's staff props for stepping up to the plate on this one so quickly

Sounds like it will be an interesting forum. Wow, I am watching the Republican party implode every day in new ways I could never imagine. This is a letter to our Congressman from a constituent in the 10th District of Georgia. Will all this increase the turnout on either side of the aisle? Of course I think it will help the Democratic candidates of Jim Powell and Jim Martin. Three full time Obama staffers (two moved in since the General Election) are in Athens alone so let's see what we can get done. I think the Republican Party have provided a once in a lifetime opportunity here so we damn sure need to take full advantage of it. Keep talking about Paul Broun. Looks like Jim Martin will be stopping in Oglethorpe County 1 pm Thursday if you can make it there to the headquarters -1136 Athens Road in Crawford, next to Cook Motors, one block from the traffic light. They will   be at the Oglethorpe County headquarters in Crawford at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 30. He asked that we try to get some people there to welcome him. Oglethorpe Democrats present Foot Soldiers for Civil Rights Program The Oglethorpe County Democrats are proud to present a special program in honor of Black History Month, “Donald L. Hollowell: American Freedom Fighter.” Dr. Maurice Daniels, co-director of the University of Georgia’s Foot Soldier Project for Civil Rights Studies, will present a short documentary film and discussion of the life of Donald L. Hollowell, best known as the chief counsel for Hamilton Holmes and Charlayne Hunter in the landmark lawsuit (Holmes v. Danner) that opened the doors of UGA to black students.
