A Fond Farewell from John & Dana

Subject: A Fond Farewell from John & Dana Well folks, after 2 fantastic years on the farm, John and I bid farewell as we venture out to explore new terrains and possibilities...but not first without sharing the amazing story of how we came to the farm and why we'll miss it so much. Get ready folks..this email is gonna be a long one.  :) Prague, Melbourne, Sail Around the World, or Watkinsville... It all started like any adventure should...with a prelude of Vegas.   John and I had just tied the knot officially - aglow in the bright neon lights of A Little White Wedding Chapel and Elvis standing by in a baby blue suit as I took John to be my "hunk-hunka burnin' love now and forever."  We had just made it back to Taos and were considering our options...where to go and what to do next.  Prague, Melbourne, or throw everything we have into a seaworthy boat and sail around the world? That was about the time Willy P. surprised us at the d

UPDATE: Georgia lawmakers debate legalizing medical marijuana

UPDATE: Georgia lawmakers debate legalizing medical marijuana Patients diagnosed with certain illnesses could take a form of medical marijuana under a plan that Georgia's state legislators were expected to debate Monday ahead of an important deadline, one that sorts out which bills go forward and which will likely fail for the year. Legislative rules force Georgia's state lawmakers to get their bills approved by at least one chamber of the General Assembly by what's commonly called "Crossover Day," or else those bills are unlikely to get to the governor's desk. That rule can be bent, but it is difficult. Among the biggest debates expected Monday: a plan to let people suffering from the side effects of cancer treatment, glaucoma and some seizure disorders to take products derived from cannabis oil in the hope it will ease their symptoms. The cannabis could be given to patients orally as a liquid, a pill or through injections. State Rep. Allen

Date: Tue, 25 Feb 2014 09:47:54 -0500 Subject: Sunday Farm Stand from your Friends at the Pastures of Rose Creek! From: pastures1051@gmail.com To: pastures1051@gmail.com 2-24-14 Hey all, Hope everyone is having a great week so far. We wanted to share some changes that we hope will make things easier for those interested in purchasing beef and eggs during the non-farmer's market season. Now that spring is right around the corner, the pace on the farm has picked up dramatically. We have adorable new baby calves, baby chicks, and baby veggies needing our constant TLC.  To keep William from running around like a chicken with his head cut off trying to both farm and sell, we have decided to make a farm stand available on Sundays from 2pm - 4pm for our wonderful customers.  All of our beef and eggs will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. So, look for us this Sunday and every Sunday from 2 – 4pm. We will have signs out o

Georgia Republican Party: Too Extreme for the Mainstream

Image
From: Democratic Party of GA Date:02/28/2014 2:08 PM (GMT-05:00) Subject: Georgia Republican Party: Too Extreme for the Mainstream Georgia Republican Party: Too Extreme for the Mainstream It's been a busy year for the Georgia Republican Party. Georgia voters expected the majority party to work with Georgia Democrats to find solutions for the problems our state faces. As Democrats, we hoped that Republicans would concentrate on issues that matter most to working families. Instead, Georgia Republicans have proven once more that they can't keep themselves away from extremist politics.
