Look for a volleyball court, nature trails, exercise stations, and more! Wouldn't it be great if we got it all in place in time for the warm weather? That would be right around April 27, 2013, which happens to be the date for Dog Day IV. This will be the biggest and best Dog Day yet. We need flyer dogs! Does your dog have what it takes to be featured on this year's Dog Day Flyer? Send me a few pictures and if our photographer agrees we'll schedule a shoot. If you have any suggestions for this year's event, please send those along as well. Lastly, we could use some voluntee

Oconee School Board Will Hear From Parent About Armed Guards at Schools

No word on whether Ms. Givens will be packing heat at this meeting at 5:00 pm. Being that it is exactly a month since the slaughter of students in Newtown, Connecticut, I would certainly hope not. I trust our Law Enforcement Officials to bear arms without having to give guns to our janitors and teachers. This is not a 2nd Amendment issue, it is about gun zealots forcing their platform on people who do not need it, do not want it, and cannot afford it.
