Voter registration drive in the 10th Congressional District

HELP! We have fallen, and we are about to get up!

Dear Democrats in the 10th Congressional District of Georgia,

Now is our chance! We?ve been asking for it. We have a wonderful
opportunity to put a good Democrat in Congress representing our interests!

What an exciting day that will be!

The Democratic Party of Georgia (DPG) and the Voter Registration (VR)
Committee have targeted Athens-Clarke County as the key to the 10th.

We feel if we get our old faithful and new faithful to simply vote on June
19th, 2007 we can take this seat from the Republicans.
Wow! That does not give us much time!

The last day to register to vote is May 21, 2007.

*********The DPG VR Committee is holding a get-started meeting in Athens on
this Saturday, April 14th at 10am. 337 S Milledge Ave (Butler Bldg).

We want YOU there! We want every good Democrat to get involved!

If you are a good Democrat, a member of your County Democratic Party, the
State Committee or Executive Committee of the DPG, League of Womens
Voters, APRI, etc.
I urge you to come on Saturday! We need your energy and your knowledge of
our community and Congressional District. You are so important to our
winning!

Please try to come this Saturday. For sure, plan to vote on June 19th.

register, volunteer to phone bank, or help in any way.

Jeff Dantzler's arrests may be the best thing that ever happened to him

THis has next to nothing to do with Oconee County with the possible exception of the location of his former office, but a former colleague of mine on the radio got popped today for four counts. Any one who has listened to 960 the Ref AM sports talk radio or heard the UGA Lady Dawgs or men's baseball team has surely heard the encyclopedic knowledge of one Jeff Dantzler. Jeff and I are pretty much diametrically opposed poltically, but today he was arrested on four counts including DUI. I hope he gets the help he needs following his incarceration. I work for a lawyer who could help him out if he does not having someone already representing him. This man is a great broadcaster and I hope this arrest serves as a wake-up call for him and his rock and roll lifestyle. James Whipple of Bogart bonded out on child porn, pot, and possession of a firearm during commission of crime charges

The booking photo is not to be placed on any web page that charges a fee for booking photo removal. Sheriff Scott Berry announces the arrest of Ian James Whipple (23) of Jefferson Avenue in Bogart on one count of Computer Pornography (child pornography), one count of Violation of Georgia Controlled Substances Act, and one count of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime. Bond was set by the court at $50,000. Whipple has bonded out of jail. The arrest st ems from an investigation that began when the OCSO received information from the Athens Clarke County Police leading to the obtaining of a search warrant for Whipple's residence and computers. That warrant was executed on July 1st. Upon entering the residence, it was discovered that Whipple also was cultivating marijuana plants. Whipple was not at the residence at the time the warrant was executed. He was arrested on July 3rd when he was located by OCSO deputies.
