Volunteer in a battleground next door! Hi there,

I'm Pendry Haines, Border State Coordinator for the campaign in North Carolina.  At the center of Barack's 50-state strategy, North Carolina is a crucial swing state with 15 electoral votes up for grabs.

I wanted to personally invite you to come to North Carolina— it's ripe for turning Blue, but we urgently need more friends in the Field!  The race is close here and your help could mean the difference between a win and a loss.

You can come for a weekend, or a week, or the duration of the campaign, starting as soon as today.  I can help set you up with one of our regional offices, orient you to our program, and introduce you to our staff there.

We need your help here to put Barack over the top. Don't wait--sign up right here:

Last weekend we surpassed our goal of knocking on over 100,000 doors, but this is just the beginning. In October, we'll need all the help we can get to persuade undecided and independent voters and to make sure every Barack supporter in North Carolina gets to the polls.

Building relationships with voters, talking about the issues that matter, telling our story—that's how we won Iowa, that's how we won South Carolina, and that's how we'll win in North Carolina and the country on Nov. 4th.

The longer you can be here in North Carolina, the more substantive a role you can have. If you come before October 5th, we may have Deputy Field Organizer positions available, in which you could have responsibility managing and recruiting volunteers, and getting out the vote in a specific area of North Carolina.

We can accommodate you with housing with one of our supporters, many of whom have generously opened up their extra bedrooms for folks coming to volunteer in NC. We are unable to help with transportation to and from the state, but we can try to arrange carpools whenever possible.

And if you cannot make it to North Carolina yourself, please pass this message and my contact info along to anyone else who may be interested!

Thanks and take care,

Pendry Haines

P.S. If you are unable to travel, you can still make phone calls for us!
Sign up here and you will be given access to North Carolina calls.
