Subject: [UniversityofGeorgiaforObama] McCain's Lead Over Obama SHRINKS To Six Points In GEORGIA....

Obama Family,

When we began this race, McCain was leading in Georgia by 20(+) points.  Today, Obama pulls within 6 in Georgia - we are turning Georgia "BLUE".  However, we still have work too do.  As you all know, this is the last weekend for Voter's Registration.  I know we all have been working overtime with the campaign and your efforts are greatly appreciated.  Therefore, I would like to ask us all to put in some additional time and effort.  For your convenience, I have provided you with the official Obama campaign offices below.  Please contact the office nearest you to get involved.  We all can help - for example, we need help working the phone banks, data entry in addition to Voter's Registration.  You can also help by voting early and informing registered family members/friends to please vote early.  For your review, I have provided you with the early voting infor mation below for Georgia.

PS: Also remember to keep extra voter's registration application with you.  If you are buying gas, barber shop/beauty salon, grocery store, work, church, etc - just simply ask, "Are you registered to vote"  You may be surprised so let's go that extra mile.  If you need extra voter's registration applications, please contact your nearest Obama office below.

The last day for Voter's Registration is Monday, October 6th.  We need everyone involved - please contact your nearest official Obama office to help.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

Early Voting in Georgia

Is your schedule hectic?  Not sure if you'll be in town on Election Day?  Want to avoid Election Day crowds?  Then take advantage of one of the numerous voting options offered here in Georgia.

EARLY VOTING starts Monday, September 22.  It's easy and convenient and allows you to vote on a day and time that's convenient for you!  Simply visit your county's early voting site (click here for a list of locations and hours of operation), fill out the application, and present one of the permitted forms of photo ID.   And you're ready to vote!

VOTE BY MAIL - no excuses needed.  Just fill out the application. Then, mail it or drop it off to your county registrar's office.  We urge you to request  your mail-in ballot and get it back to your county registrar's office as soon as possible.  Mail-in ballots must b e received by your county registrar no later than close of the polls on Election Day.  And, remember, Georgia prohibits anyone other than the voter him/herself from personal delivery of a voted mail-in ballot.

ADVANCE VOTE WEEK will be held from MONDAY, October 27, thru FRIDAY, October 31.  Most counties will have multiple voting centers and even extended hours.  Click here to check locations and times of operation for your county's advance vote sites.  A photo ID is required to vote in person.

ELECTION DAY is Tuesday, November 4, 2008, and the polls open at 7:00 a.m.  On Election Day, you must vote at your assigned precinct and present a photo ID.& nbsp; To double check your precinct location, click here.

Not yet registered to vote?  There's still time.  The deadline to register to vote for the November 4 General Election is October 6.  Click here for more information on registering to vote.

Your county's Early Voting and Advance Voting locations may be different from your regular Election Day precinct location. Please see the link below or contact your county registrar for early and advance voting locations and times where you live:
