Let me echo all the beautiful messages of thanks on a job well done on so many levels. 

We are working hard in Oconee County to have a positive presence.  We would love to add any of you to our listserve--just let me know.  There are lots of opportunities to be involved:
 
1. Our meetings are the first Thursday of each month (as in tomorrow) at the
Oconee County Government Annex
1291 Greensboro Highway
7:00 pm is social with the meeting starting at 7:30 pm.  We would love to have all of you. 

2.  All interested in discussing  political issues gather at Krimson Kafe for lunch on the 2nd Saturday after the 1st Thursday.

3. Third Thursdays are Book Club at Five Points Deli on Epps Bridge Rd.

4.  Sunday series are programs we present for the community on the last Sunday evening of the month.

5.  Once a quarter we pick up litter with the Young Dems of Oconee County High School to maintain our section of the Oconee Connector.

and many other annual events!  Most importantly we are a fun, dedicated group!

By the way my "real" job is in substance abuse so I'll be glad to help anyone with "Obama withdrawal"!

Congratulations and thank you to all who have helped earn this great victory. It has been an honor and a pleasure to work with such a group of wonderful people on this legendary and  historic campaign. Beyond a political victory, it is the affirmation of our highest values and of the core principles that this nation was founded on.
Our work in Georgia, and the gains it produced, were very important in laying the foundation for ongoing work to build competence and integrity in Georgia politics.

Jeff Dantzler's arrests may be the best thing that ever happened to him

THis has next to nothing to do with Oconee County with the possible exception of the location of his former office, but a former colleague of mine on the radio got popped today for four counts. Any one who has listened to 960 the Ref AM sports talk radio or heard the UGA Lady Dawgs or men's baseball team has surely heard the encyclopedic knowledge of one Jeff Dantzler. James Whipple of Bogart bonded out on child porn, pot, and possession of a firearm during commission of crime charges

The booking photo is not to be placed on any web page that charges a fee for booking photo removal. Sheriff Scott Berry announces the arrest of Ian James Whipple (23) of Jefferson Avenue in Bogart on one count of Computer Pornography (child pornography), one count of Violation of Georgia Controlled Substances Act, and one count of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime. Bond was set by the court at $50,000. Whipple has bonded out of jail. The arrest st ems from an investigation that began when the OCSO received information from the Athens Clarke County Police leading to the obtaining of a search warrant for Whipple's residence and computers. That warrant was executed on July 1st. Upon entering the residence, it was discovered that Whipple also was cultivating marijuana plants. Whipple was not at the residence at the time the warrant was executed. He was arrested on July 3rd when he was located by OCSO deputies.
