Congressman Paul Broun is holding a town hall meeting tomorrow (Tues. Aug. 9) in Eatonton.


As you may remember, a previous town hall meeting by Congressman Broun inspired an audience member to ask "Who is going to shoot the President?" Sadly, Broun didn't condemn the remarks until well after his town hall had concluded, and only then due to pressure from Georgia Democrats and the national news media.


Broun has compared President Obama to Karl Marx and Adolf Hitler.


Broun has called the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta "socialism of the highest order".

Broun is an example of what we teach our kids not to be: he's intolerant, mean-spirited and wrong.

If you can, please attend Paul Broun's town hall meeting in Eatonton and ask him:

  • "Why do you support replacing Medicare with a risky voucher system that doesn't pay for the full cost of senior healthcare? Especially since the rising cost of healthcare means that this voucher will get lose its value over time?"

  • "Why do you want to save tax breaks for billionaires but vote to cut unemployment benefits when Georgia's unemployment is above the national average?"

  • "Why did you vote to shut down the FAA and lay off employees at Athens' Ben Epps airport?"

  • "How many times have you voted for an unbalanced budget? How many times have you voted for a balanced budget?"
It is time for Georgia Democrats to raise our voice. Are you in?

James Whipple of Bogart bonded out on child porn, pot, and possession of a firearm during commission of crime charges

Sheriff Scott Berry announces the arrest of Ian James Whipple (23) of Jefferson Avenue in Bogart on one count of Computer Pornography (child pornography), one count of Violation of Georgia Controlled Substances Act, and one count of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime. Bond was set by the court at $50,000. Whipple has bonded out of jail. The arrest st ems from an investigation that began when the OCSO received information from the Athens Clarke County Police leading to the obtaining of a search warrant for Whipple's residence and computers. That warrant was executed on July 1st. Upon entering the residence, it was discovered that Whipple also was cultivating marijuana plants. Whipple was not at the residence at the time the warrant was executed. He was arrested on July 3rd when he was located by OCSO deputies.
