Hello to all from The Pastures of Rose Creek!

Hope this email finds you all well this week!   The grass fed beef is going fast this month, so make sure to shoot us an email or give as a call if you'd like farm-fresh grass fed beef on your table next week!  And please read on for a taste of what's to come this week...
HAPPENINGS:
GRASS FED BEEF -  Our first cow is ready for butchering on Wednesday, August 8 and are very pleased to report that this cow is going fast!  We are down to one 1/4 left for purchase, so if you are interested in having some delicious and healthy gras fed beef on your table next week, please let us know as soon as possible!  And if not next week, we will be taking orders for next month as well.  Check out the attachments for more info and the order form.  Or call Dana (575.613.2029) or simply respond to this email.  We'll also be at the Watkinsville Farmers Market with the attached info and ready to answer any questions you may have!

MONROE MARKET - We will back at the Monroe Market  on August 18 with a fresh display of produce, pottery, barn-wood frames and grass-fed beef infoWe hope to see all you fine Monroe citizens there!
POTTERY - The very talented John Bradford is now bringing his pots to the Watkinsville/Monroe Market Table. These pots are the product of the first firing of John's hand built wood-fired anagama/soda ash kiln located right here at The Pastures of Rose Creek. Anagama wood-fired pottery is a fascinating Japanese tradition, in which pots are fired at temperatures in excess of 2200 degrees. The product is beautiful, earthy pottery that varies in color and texture. Come and check out his pots this Saturday at the Watkinsville Market!

BARN-WOOD FRAMES - Our Watkinsville/Monroe Market Table also welcomes Eric Ayers and his beautifully hand-crafted Barn-Wood Frames. As a 4th generation working farm, P.o.R.C. has it's share of old barn wood. Eric has taken this wood and highlighted it's rustic beauty in his wooden picture frames, mirrors, and earring displays. He'll be rotating between Watkinsville and Monroe each week...so keep an eye out for him!
BAKED GOODS by Dana (Watkinsville Market):

Cranberry Almond Biscotti (great for coffee and non coffee drinkers alike!)
You can to order custom-made pies and other baked goods to be picked up on Saturdays at the Farmer's Market. Please send any baking requests to Dana (575.613.2029 OR dana.k.blair@gmail.com) by Tuesday each week. Check out the attached price list!

And now for THIS WEEK'S HARVEST...
Eggplant
Okra
Pears
Peppers
Tomatoes (a variety of yummy HEIRLOOMS)
Tomatillos
Watermelon (the best you've ever had....seriously!!!)
Our Gardens are in transition this month, so we're a little lighter in quantity (but never in quality!)...so hold on tight...we have more on the way!
**Come check out other surprise veggies we may have to offer!**

Thank you all for your support! Hope to see y'all Saturday at the Watkinsville Farmers Market!

For the love of community and all things farming...

Will Powers and John & Dana Bradford
