Subject: [oconee] Community book discussion on October 24th

Hello!

This month the community book group sponsored by the Oconee Democrats is
reading "Goodbye to All That," a memoir about WWI by poet Robert Graves.

The book is ranked #41 on the list of the Modern Library's best
non-fiction works.

We usually meet the last Wednesday of the month, but that's Halloween
this year, so we're meeting a week early -- on October 24th instead.

The group meets a little before 7 PM at Piccolo's restaurant in
Watkinsville, with the book discussion beginning right at 7.

Newcomers and folks from any county and with any political views are
welcome to join us.

Looking ahead to November: we'll be reading "Fear and Loathing on the
Campaign Trail" by Hunter S. Thompson. This lively book, considered one
of the classic books about political campaigns, focuses on the
Democrats' divisive primary battles of 1972.

Come join us to talk politics and history!
