Greetings-
Please join us this Saturday, April 6th for opening day of the Oconee Farmers Market in front of the Oconee County Courthouse from 8am until 1pm.
This week our vendors will be bringing a wide variety of items including mixed greens, escarole, arugula, romaine lettuce, radishes and other root vegetables, dried and dehydrated shiitake mushrooms, local and sourwood honey, boiled and fried peanuts and pork skins. Several vendors will be bringing jams and jellies, fresh eggs, grass fed beef including steaks, roasts and ground beef, pasture based pork and chicken, lamb and goat cheese. There will be no shortage of yummy baked goods like cupcakes, poundcakes in many flavors, fried pies and pastries, whole pies including blackberry, choc. chess and strawberry-rhubarb, banana bread, organic whole wheat and splelt breads, loaf breads, cookies, bagels, muffins, scones and honey butter with biscuits! We will also have many flavors of granola including several gluten-free options, snow cones, lemonade, kettle corn and not forgetting our four legged friends-vegetarian dog treats! Vendors will be offering herbs, salts, pepper, tomato and strawberry plants, other misc. plants and perennials, birdhouses, blacksmith crafts, decorated gourds and jewelry made from recycled items, lampwork glass beads and pendants, handcrafted lip balms and beeswax candles, sheeps milk soap, Shea butter and soap, essential soaps and rag rugs, goats milk soaps and lotions and pottery.
Come and enjoy the sounds of The Red Oak Southern String Band!
As always, COFFEE IS FREE and we look forward to seeing you!
