Sheriff Scott Berry announces the arrest of two additional suspects in the kidnapping that occurred on Brown Road last week (11/14/2013).

Oconee County Investigators identified two suspects and obtained arrest warrants for them on 11/20/2013. The charges for each suspect are Burglary (first degree), False Imprisonment, Kidnapping, and Aggravated Assault.

The Jones County Sheriff's Office captured Derrick Demetric Ingram (36) of Haddock, GA. He has been turned over to the OCSO and is currently in the Oconee County Jail.

Oconee County Investigators working in conjunction with the Richmond County Sheriff's Office captured Karin Tanja King (38) of Augusta. She has also been transported to the Oconee County Jail.

Both are being held without bail pending first appearance hearings.

James Whipple of Bogart bonded out on child porn, pot, and possession of a firearm during commission of crime charges

Sheriff Scott Berry announces the arrest of Ian James Whipple (23) of Jefferson Avenue in Bogart on one count of Computer Pornography (child pornography), one count of Violation of Georgia Controlled Substances Act, and one count of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime. Bond was set by the court at $50,000. Whipple has bonded out of jail. The arrest st ems from an investigation that began when the OCSO received information from the Athens Clarke County Police leading to the obtaining of a search warrant for Whipple's residence and computers. That warrant was executed on July 1st. Upon entering the residence, it was discovered that Whipple also was cultivating marijuana plants. Whipple was not at the residence at the time the warrant was executed. He was arrested on July 3rd when he was located by OCSO deputies.
