Second is the great opportunity: All proceeds of the film benefit the beyond amazing PROJECT SAFE.  See attached. The community book group sponsored by the Oconee Democrats will discuss "Big-Box Swindle: The True Cost of Mega-Retailers and the Fight for America's Independent Businesses" on Wednesday, September 28th, at 7 PM. This is a terrific and important book that provides historical context for the decline of the middle class in our country, as big-box stores such as Wal-Mart and national drug store, hardware, and bookstore chains (and others) cause countless locally owned businesses to fail.
