Another idiot attacks a bicycle rider on New High Shoals Road

What is with the intolerance of bicycle riders on New High Shoals Road? I know at least three families with very competitive athletes who pedal great distances all the time.  People need to keep their animals controlled and do not need to instigate violence directed toward those on bicycles. Another vehicle versus bicycle pack terrorism in Oconee County

This is awful and I hope we can figure out the alleged humans who attempted these three attacks in our front yards. This is from Facebook: Cycling friends be careful out there. Note from yesterday. Alert for Oconee County: Today on Elder Road, halfway between New High Shoals and Highway 53 (Hog Mountain Road) at approximately 2:30 pm, a dark maroon, recent edition, 2 door Chevrolet Silverado with partial license plate believed to be “3512-AM_ _” intentionally attempted to harm four road bikers traveling in a group. The truck honk ed continuously while passing and then nearly hit the front rider. The truck then proceeded 30 meters ahead and slammed on its brakes, skidding in the process. The truck then shifted into reverse, the tires peeled against the pavement and tried to hit the riders while in reverse. The truck then skidded for the third time to a stop. The driver again put the truck into gear, the tires again peeled out and attempted to hit the riders for a third ...

Could the government be criminally negligent for not letting us know about BRAG coming here?

I am saddened but not terribly surprised that some BRAG bicyclists were injured on New High Shoals this morning . I hope that they recover from their injuries and that the driver will be a little more careful next time they pull out into traffic. It may be premature Wednesday morning quarterbacking, but I really hate it that Watkinsville and Oconee County would be besmirched with the distressing distinction of being the only place where bike riders have been injured in the history of this bike ride across the state.
