Nomination and Election of Officers: Committee members who have agreed to accept nominations: Margaret Holt - Chair; Sarajane Love – Secretary; Robert Wyatt – Treasurer; Vicky Moody - State Committee Member; and Pat Adams - First Vice-Chair. Additional nominations for officers will be accepted from the floor. 3. Recognition of Carolyn Crawford, past Chair 4. Collection of Dues from Committee Members: Carolyn, Wendy Wade, and Margaret have paid dues for 2015. There is no set amount for dues. We beat the Republicans again with one to spare. Maybe there should be a trophy in the form of a miniature trash can that goes each year to the winner. As the leader of one of the competing events ("Saturday Strolls at Harris Shoals"), which also was sponsored by the CCDC, I am happy to report that we had 17 people. The previous week we drew an all-time record, with more than 25 people participating. Please come this Saturday at 9:00 a.m. when Steve Holzman will lead a walk focused on birds. ...

The NewsTalk 1340 WGAU AM Monday radio program "Liz Talk" (9:06 am to 9:58) featured an interview by host Elizabeth Dalton with the Oconee County Democratic Committee member Dr. Robert Wyatt about the Saturday Strolls series in Watkinsville. You can listen to it here if you scroll down to the Liz Talk section The first $5.00 stroll at 9:00 am this Saturday will feature talented engineer and muscian Mark Cooper Smith and his Full Moon recording studio on School Street to inaugurate the series. People will gather across the street from the Farmer's Market to take this walking tour around Watkinsville.
