Theater at Athens Academy: The Tragedy of Thebes

This is yet another example of excellent theater in Oconee County Subject: FW: The Tragedy of Thebes Hi Everyone, See the attached poster and the details below.  If you can attend, you'll be amazed.  Lorraine wrote this adaptation of Sophocles' play, Antigone. "A Midsummer Night's Dream"

I always support theater, especially at my son's school. Subject: "A Midsummer Night's Dream" To quote Lorraine, "It is a spectacle!"   Details: Show dates are April 16-18 at 7:30 in the Athens Academy Presentation Hall.  The play runs about 1.5 hours with at 15 minute intermission.  This is a great play to introduce younger people to the Bard.  Admission is free.  Donations for Project Pallam and/or Athens Area Food Bank will be accepted at the door.  Hope you can come!    Cheers, Tony   ******************************************** Anthony E. A Rose by any other name......

Please share this with everyone you know who may be interested. Something new is happening...a professional theatre for our community. A non-profit theatre company, producing vibrant professional live performances that speak to the entire community. Rose of Athens is holding its’ first fundraiser. A masquerade, where you can come dressed as your favorite movie star, literary character, cartoon, or whatever strikes your fancy. You can even come as yourself, since costumes are optional. Mary Delaplane from the Dress Up Box will be on hand to provide costume accessories for those who forgot or didn’t have time or who just want to play. Proceeds will fund our outreach programs, academy style classes, ticket scholarship programs and general operating funds for our community's only non-profit professional theatre.
