Extra Special People Seeks Local Cyclists

I sure hope they can figure out a way to not impede the first-ever early Saturday voting at the Board of Elections and Registration on Court Street. The market has been setting up in front of the Oconee County Court House in the Parking Lot. Of course there is plenty of parking in the back, just watch out for the bicyclists who tend to use this area as a rendezvous and or disembarking area for their 30, 40, 50 and 60 mile rides in the area and even into Morgan County. Here is yet another organized bike ride that I am pretty sure did not get approval by the Oconee County Board of Commissioners before embarking from Watkinsville - just saying that dozens of people bike daily all over Oconee and much more than the casual observer or government official (with the exception of one or two Brian) have no clue whatsoever about. I would love to be able to bike to Oconee Veterans Park without taking my life into my hands (and that of all the other drivers on the streets). Bikers go 300 miles in 30 hours | The Red and Black
