Surely we can work together to improve the security without strangling downtown Watkinsville. I would think an injunction based on the ADA might be the next step for any enterprising individuals who could afford to hire an attorney or file a lawsuit. Oconee County is a long way from Missouri, and I am not there. However, popping gas on a film crew and then taking down their unattended camera equipment in the name of "keeping them safe" seems a bit over the @#*& top to me. My position on the media is that if they want to get in the middle of a riot, then more power to them. I don't accept responsibility for keeping them safe. I also don't feel it is my duty to tear gas them in the name of keeping them safe.
