Why I love Keba and Your Pie (and every other Oconee restaurant)
It is not that they are chains, or local, or have nice people working there, all of which are true. It is that you can go there at odd times during most days and they are open, willing to do things your way, and give you decent food at dependable prices. I wonder about the continued economic viability of the shopping centers they are located in, I sometimes think there is no way they can be making enough money, but then something happens friendly and positive enough to make me think they are going to succeed. I would urge everyone to go buy dinner or lunch at these or any number of local restaurants this Spring Break week and let the owners or employees know you appreciate their local presence. Oconee County has not had that many restaurants that very long, and we have had some close recently too (Taco Stand). So please purchase food there as soon as possible. Sometimes we take for granted the choices we had a hand, and then they are gone. Success is a fickle ...
