Fresh Pottery...Right Outta the Oven

Fresh pottery is always in high demand here in the Artland of Georgia From: Pastures Rose Creek <pastures1051@gmail.com Date: 03/06/2013 5:57 PM (GMT-05:00) ; Subject: Fresh Pottery...Right Outta the Oven! Hello everyone!  It's here, it's here!  The moment that so many of you have been anticipating (and I almost forgot to send out!)....the 3rd batch of pottery from John's anagama kiln will be ceremoniously unloaded this Saturday, March 9 from 12:00-1:00 pm....1941 Colham Ferry Road (We're the little fixer upper with the red scarf tied to the mail box...unloading is behind the metal sheds) . Many of you may ask - what the heck is a kiln unloading?  Or better yet, those of you who drive down Colham Ferry Road may often wonder what the heck that big, brick furnace-y oven thing is that's been burping plumes of smoke and flame every 3 minutes for the past 3 days.... Well, first of all, the over sized pizza oven is actually John's hand...

Doing it a little different this week...

Come get some eggs, pecans, escarole, radishes, and a few beets Sincerely,  Dan Matthews Date: Fri, 15 Feb 2013 14:06:56 -0500 Subject: Doin' it a little different this week... Farm Fresh Eggs Pecans Escarole Radishes Beets (but not too many...the chioggias were very popular last week!!) Pastures of Rose Creek: This Week's Harvest

The weeks for the Farmers Market are starting to dwindle down..... Sincerely,  Dan Matthews Date: Thu, 23 Aug 2012 16:56:39 -0400 Subject: Pastures of Rose Creek: This Week's Harvest From: pastures1051@gmail.com Hello again from The Pastures of Rose Creek! They're coming!!!  They're coming!!! FARM FRESH EGGS are just around the corner!  Just yesterday Ann discovered the first official egg from our batch of chickens.  We have raised these chickens since they were wee little chicks (March 2012) and they have now reached maturity and are ready to lay their first eggs.  These chickens are happy, free-ranging chickens who spend their days doing what chickens do best - eating bugs and grasses and fertilizing our fields!  And now they will be laying happy, healthy eggs...1 chicken will lay approximately 1 egg every 23 hours!  So, keep an eye out for our market table - you should be seeing FARM FRESH EGGS in about 2 weeks....
