Thanks to everyone who showed up last night for Multi-county gathering at Ashford on Main

I want to thank everyone who came to the Watkinsville's Ashford on Main last night for the Multi-County gathering, but especially vice chair Pat Adams for going above and beyond the call of duty with cleaning up and setting up the event. Oconee County Democratic Committee member Nancy DeRemo stuck around late with the clean up, as did retired Law School Professor Sarajane Love. Peggy Law and Robert Wyatt worked long and hard setting up and bringing food, as did Wendy Wade and Carolyn Crawford. Right now I am so tired from the event that I cannot even think straight so please forgive me if I am forgetting anyone.  Thanks to the announced US Senate candidate Dr. Branko Radulovacki from Atlanta for coming up and speaking passionately and concisely about his campaign and background. Already, one Republican has announced for the primary. D117 will include four counties named above.  Just to give you a few stats I just pulled from Votebuilder: 30,144 registered voters 2,144 Strong Dems 1,780 Strong Repubs 17,733 - Clarke 59% 2,433 - Barrow 8% 3,279 - Jackson 11% 6,695  - Oconee 22% Can each of you assign a small committee to find the candidate possibilities in your own county? Look at currently and formerly elected officials, retired teachers, business people, well-known community activists. Make a list of your top five in priority order.
