Seems our esteemed Representative Bob Smith now wants to stop all government meetings at the stroke of midnight. May I remind Smith that sometimes it is necessary to continue meetings past an artificially set time. Gee, might this eliminate the 24 hour softball tournaments at Herman C. Michael and assorted other government facilities like the Civic Center? I would sure hate for some heated opposition organize to knock this out-of-touch legislator and legislation off its mighty perch. I wonder if Smith enjoys sniping at Athens-Clarke and other governments with legitimate activities after midnight.
