Pull the Plug is the name of the Political Action Committee designed to defeat Paul Broun. As of now there is only one candidate who they can work for against the 10th District Congressman, but at least it is someone. Are any Democrats going to announce against him ever? Representative Paul Broun diagnoses a depressive person to go to the emergency room

I wrote the following questionnaire to probable new Watkinsville City Council (barring an unforeseen write-in candidacy) member Toby Smith to try and get some feeling from where he is coming from. To his credit, he responded quickly on an otherwise busy Thursday afternoon. My memory is somewhat sweaty and cloudy of Toby being a steady (if unspectacular) lanky basketball player from the Herman C. Michael hoops days of 1989 - 94, but I did mute a certain apprehension based on the fact that I had never seen him at any Watkinsville City Council meetings before. I have not attended every Watkinsville City Council meeting in the last five years, but I would reckon I have witnessed about 70% of them in the last half decade. There is not a true numbered correlation with the answers to the questions, but wanted to leave the numeration on to see how Toby received them. 1. Glad that our outstanding and ambitious academic students here in Oconee County have an opportunity to take college level classes while still in school here to get an early edge on the competition. I urge them to take full advantage of this and it is just another reason for the Board of Commissioners to do a better job of supporting the infrastructure around the campus of Gainesville State College barely outside Watkinsville's city limits. I do think it is of great local concern that foolish real estate developments have come back to bite us all squarely in the ass. Wendell Dawson's blog has done a great job of naming names, streets and locations of the poorly executed ghost towns littering our landscape. It is no big secret, these stubbed out incomplete assemblages of legitimate living space. Look next to Publix, on the way to Oconee Veterans Park or Herman C.
