In a move following suit with his recent party change, State Rep. Doug McKillip is switching the city and location of his fundraiser to Six Feet Seafood Restaurant at 685 11th Street, Atlanta, GA 30318. This was from the infamous letter sent out a week before he decided to abandon the Democratic Party and join the majority. I believe that earlier invitation was for his law office on Milledge Avenue in Athens. My only hope is McKillip can stop a constitutional majority from passing some really ridiculous legislation. And we have the only Pro-Choice Republican south of New York City.

It is great that Oconee County's SPLOST funds would ostensibly double, and I would suggest extra lanes on 316 between the loop and the Oconee Connector, or at least repair the shoulders so there are no truck swallowing potholes remaining on the inside shoulder. Athens-Clarke needs to widen the on ramp from Prince to the 10 Loop as it is a death trap as currently laid out with one of the two turn lanes disappearing less than 100 yards from the stoplight. Dear all interested Oconee County open minded individuals: Time to explain and not complain. What can we do together to make Oconee County a better place? We can identify the problems and offer solutions. I have been on vacation during the initial round of emails going down on this, but let me assure everyone of all several things first. 1.
