Sorry I did not get this up before the farmers market Sincerely,  Dan Matthews Date: Fri, 7 Sep 2012 14:27:52 -0400 Subject: Pastures of Rose Creek: This Week's Harvest From: pastures1051@gmail.com ! Well, we are kicking off this week's farmer's market with a VEGGIE OF THE WEEK!  And this week our fave veggie is the NEW MEXICAN GREEN CHILE .    Not only delicious and EXCELLENT roasted, served on a yummy grass-fed burger - it also holds a very special place in our hearts.  Taos, New Mexico is the memorable place where I met my husband, John - and where we met that spirited and fun-loving farmer, Will Powers (aka Willy P.), who planted the grass fed beef seed in us and brought us out to the farm in Watkinsville.  And there buried within all of our wonderful "Nuevo" (New Mexico, that is) memories - is the taste and smell of a New Mexico Green Chile.  So, come on out to the farmer's market this Saturday and bring a little...

Among the topics Seife explores is the Bush v. Gore outcome in 2000. Many of our book choices in 2012 have highlighted our strong support for science and carefully reasoned knowledge. Here's a portion of the book's review in the New York Times: "Seife, a veteran science writer who teaches journalism at New York University, examines the many ways that people fudge with numbers, sometimes just to sell more moisturizer but also to ruin our economy, rig our elections, convict the innocent and under count the needy. Many of his stories would be darkly funny if t...

....and even more "outside " money for McKillip

Sincerely,  Dan Matthews McKillip reports (on the State reporting site) that contributions of more than $1,000 (each) since the last report of period June 30th = $18,000. And that is just amounts greater than $1,000. And once again, ALL of this money is from OUTSIDE of the district.  Running total: More than 95% of his money is from OUTSIDE the District compared to 25% Outside for Regina Quick. If you have friends who may still be undecided, they may find this fact helpful - WHO will McKillip be representing?  Hardly anyone INSIDE the district has contributed to his campaign.
