Congratulations to all the participants in the recent All-Comers meet at Athens Academy, especially organizer Brian Brodrick. For the record, we here at Oconee County Georgia Politics fully support all road races, track meets, joggers, walkers, bicyclists, and athletes of every stripe and recreational levels. From Oconee Enterprise reporter Michael Prochaska's Facebook feed: This will be in the police report this week: On July 1 at 9:45 a.m., motorists along Greensboro Highway called to report a teenager chasing down and killing a duck by kicking and stomping it. Police located the 13-year-old white male nearby. He was armed with two knives and a backpack loaded with survival gear. He was taken into custody and charged with cruelty to animals.
