Chalis Montgomery will be speaking at the next Oconee Democratic Committee Meeting on Tuesday, April 17 at 6:30pm . Chalis is running for U.S. Congress, representing District 10 (which includes all of Oconee County). Judicial candidates Lisa Lott and Eric Norris will speak as well. Please come and join us! This will be a great opportunity to meet your candidates and other Democrats in the area. Join us at Harris Shoals Park for the Oconee Progressives potluck on April 29 at 4pm . The Oconee County Democratic Committee will meet at 6:30 pm , Tuesday, April 17th, in the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce, 55 Nancy Drive, Watkinsville. Speakers include Chalis Montgomery, a candidate in the May 22nd Democratic Primary for the House of Representatives from the 10th Congressional District, and Lisa Lott and Eric Norris, candidates in the May 22nd Nonpartisan Elections for Superior Court Judges.

The Oconee County Democratic Committee is sponsoring a local version of the March for our Lives at the Oconee Veterans Park (3500 Hog Mountain Road, Watkinsville, GA 30677) 11 am-1 pm Saturday, March 23, 2018 at the Tennis Pavilion in the park adjacent to the softball fields and tennis courts. Robert Wyatt, Treasurer of the OCDC, will greet the audience and ask for a moment of silence for the 17 victims of the Parkland massacre; thank Dan Matthews, Watkinsville City Councilman, for serving as our photographer; and then introduce John Daniell (BOC), who, after his remarks, will introduce Amy Parrish (BOE), who will then introduce Dave Shearon (Watkinsville mayor) who in turn will introduce Jonathan Wallace. Jonathan will introduce Deborah Gonzalez, and then the candidates: Chalis Montgomery, Richard Winfield, and Marisue Hilliard (who is a candidate in the 46th District Senate race). Finally Jonathan will introduce the two student speakers who will close the official program....
