Riddle me this, what meeting did she decline to attend?
I understand party allegiance, and I understand keeping appointments. But it is odd that Jennifer Riddle's opponent Pamela Lohr Hendrix can make an appearance at the Oconee County Democratic Committee meeting at 1291 Greensboro Highway at the Oconee County Government Annex meeting all of maybe five minutes away from the GOP meeting tomorrow night at the Watkinsville Community Center. We will allow Ms. Hendrix to speak first so she can hustle across our massive city to VFW Drive for the Republican meeting. I wish all the local offices were nonpartisan.
Our Oconee County Democratic Committee meetings are more of a sit down at a table kind of gathering where voters ask questions of candidates and look them in the eye while hearing their responses. Yes we are fewer in number but I would like to think we more than make up for it in sincerity and a burning desire to build consensus among all voters as to the best solutions for Oconee County. As always, everyone is welcome to attend our monthly meetings where this time we will hear from local candidates including Pam Hendrix, Sarah Bell, and Tom Odom. Pam will go on first, then we will hear from some delegates to the Democratic National Covention including Dustin Baker, Brett Johns and Karen Solheim, then on to Sarah Bell and Tom Odom. We will also decide where our caucus will be. Please come out meeting at the Oconee County Government Annex between 7:00 and 8:30 pm at 1291 Greensboro Highway - my phone number is 706-372-1062 if you get lost. We meet in the back left portion of the building. Watch out for the geese if you park in front. Yes we are in the same building where you pay your water bill.
