Our next Oconee Historical Society meeting will be a business meeting.  All who are interested are welcome to come help us discuss the agenda given below.  Tuesday April 16 at the OCAF building 7pm.
COME HEAR THE STUDENTS REPORT.  The students who have been gathering information about Watkinsville will be making a report on what they found at the Watkinsville Civic Center Monday April 29 6-9pm.  Everyone interested in hearing what they have done is welcome to come join us.
Topics to be discussed Tuesday:
A report on several homes that folks have asked us about recently (Chappelle Gallery (Haygood House); house on Water Street that is probably the oldest left in town; and one belonging to William Clark out on Watson Spring Road).
Plans for a history festival some time this fall
Progress on our web and facebook pages
            The meeting on the 29th
The possible purchase of a scanner so we can scan things people bring to us during meetings and events
Our offer to help the city with signs to advertise better what is available
What to do from here (part 2 of discussion held while the students were interviewing last month)
Bring any information you have collected recently on Oconee's history
Peggy
