Subject: [oconee] Discussing hunger in America

The book group sponsored by the Oconee Democrats is reading "A Place at the Table: The Crisis of 49 Million Hungry Americans and How to Solve It" for our last book of 2014. Edited by Peter Pringle, this is a companion book to a highly regarded film by the same name.

We'll discuss the book Wednesday, December 3rd, at 6:30.

Pamela Lohr Hendrix, who lives at 1151 Thornwood Drive in Watkinsville, volunteered to host the discussion — and a potluck — at her house. We're going to donate the money saved by not eating out to a food bank.

Please bring a dish to share and maybe something to drink  . . . and a little money or maybe some canned goods if you'd like to and are able to donate to a cause (which one, we'll have to talk about) that helps food-insecure people in our area.

Please join us to talk about and try to tackle the problem of hunger!
