The campaign continues to move forward at a great pace, but we still have a lot of work to do! We need your help! We have great opportunities coming up, so please look at the message below and then call or email us back so we can sign you up...

We have had a lot of success going door-to-door delivering our message to the voters and we are making a big impact. However, the more volunteers we get out into the community the faster our message spreads and the bigger the impact.

Also, we need help in the office Monday through Friday with our phone banks. We have six phone lines set and ready to be used every day and tomorrow (Friday) as well as all next week we will be calling and Identifying voters in all three counties, and especially IDing voters who pulled democratic ballots in the primary. Call or email our office to schedule a time, or just stop by! The regular times are between 10am to Noon and 5:30 to 7:30pm.

We have already reached over 3,000 households this month! This is how Democrats will win in November and how our message will be received and welcomed. We need you to join our grassroots operation and help send Jane to the Senate and help spread the Democratic vision to the district and to Georgia!!!

Jeff Dantzler's arrests may be the best thing that ever happened to him

THis has next to nothing to do with Oconee County with the possible exception of the location of his former office, but a former colleague of mine on the radio got popped today for four counts. Any one who has listened to 960 the Ref AM sports talk radio or heard the UGA Lady Dawgs or men's baseball team has surely heard the encyclopedic knowledge of one Jeff Dantzler. Jeff and I are pretty much diametrically opposed poltically, but today he was arrested on four counts including DUI. I hope he gets the help he needs following his incarceration. I work for a lawyer who could help him out if he does not having someone already representing him. This man is a great broadcaster and I hope this arrest serves as a wake-up call for him and his rock and roll lifestyle. James Whipple of Bogart bonded out on child porn, pot, and possession of a firearm during commission of crime charges

Sheriff Scott Berry announces the arrest of Ian James Whipple (23) of Jefferson Avenue in Bogart on one count of Computer Pornography (child pornography), one count of Violation of Georgia Controlled Substances Act, and one count of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime. Bond was set by the court at $50,000. Whipple has bonded out of jail. The arrest st ems from an investigation that began when the OCSO received information from the Athens Clarke County Police leading to the obtaining of a search warrant for Whipple's residence and computers. That warrant was executed on July 1st. Upon entering the residence, it was discovered that Whipple also was cultivating marijuana plants. Whipple was not at the residence at the time the warrant was executed. He was arrested on July 3rd when he was located by OCSO deputies.
