Michael Thurmond addresses Oconee County Democratic Committee meeting

Image
State Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond of Athens spoke at our May meeting of the Oconee County Democratic Committee. He said he is taking a look at running for Lieutenant Governor. We had such a big crowd that we had to move the meeting across the hall to the Board of Commissioners' chambers.

Fred Johnson is a former member of the North High Shoals City Council and an Oconee County Democrat. He is a really nice guy,  has a wonderful family, is concerned member of the human race, and I am glad he is a member of our enlightened organization. He is also a Walton County teacher and a soccer father. His posts about North High Shoals are often included in this blog. However, do not show him your privet unless you want those hedges gone forever.
