City Council meeting of Feb8, 2006

Your article is accurate.  Please note David Williams was nominated and selected as the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce. You might want to acknowledge the replacement for the Board of Health is for "long-time resident" Joe Anne Mitchell.Athens Banner Herald had a really nice article on her several months before she died. Just as an aside: You've presented the relief I felt after receiving the approval to bid on the T.E. project - streetscape completely accurately.  That relief probably should have been tempered with the approval of a 1/2 million dollar effort that will greatly help the City's Downtown retail district. My frustration, Dan, has been this project spread over such a period of time that local, Regional, State, and Federal Officials have changed and the review process was exacerbated. Thanks,Jim Luken

Watkinsville Council listens to Wisteria Ridge update

Brothers David and Chuck Williams talked about how the property had been in the family for 50 years and their mother still lived next to Call’s Creek on the property. They are developing 16 buildings with a 103 units on almost 13 acres of property with 4.4 acres left largely undisturbed near the water. David is the chairman of the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce and Chuck is the President of the North Georgia Bank.

The process for developing this property has been slightly different than the normal procedures because of the timeline set in motion after having received permission…

Well I guess I can't say something witty and or sarcastic here or I might be party to the lawsuit over these folks' reaction to the animals doing what animals do naturally. I think they should settle the whole matter with a Texas Death Cage match wrestling tournament, and they could charge admission and the winner takes all, including the carcasses and the jobs.OnlineAthens.com | News | Dog owners file defamation suit 02/09/06

Once again, Comer's state senatot Ralph Hudgens tries to pimp Georgia residents out to another special interest big business concern with lies, deception and corruption along the way.
