Rain takes down produce stand

At least not this weekend Sincerely,  Dan Matthews Date: Sat, 23 Mar 2013 08:59:53 -0400 Subject: Strike that... From: pastures1051@gmail.com To: Well folks, the whole produce stand "rain or shine" thing seemed like a good idea yesterday....haha.  A little too much rain (and thunder) and not enough shine... anybody still wanting delicious eggs, produce, or pecans - we will hold your order for pick up - anytime thats convenient for ya. So, hope all y'all have a lovely rainy day - snuggle down in some blankets, pull out a good book and enjoy that wonderful pitter patter sound.... -- The Pastures of Rose Creek, LLC 1051 Rose Creek Drive Watkinsville, GA 30677 706.254.9391 575.613.2029

Oconee County Board of Education tries to please everyone, but can seldom achieve perfection

Home  is where the heart is, and our children live. Unless they are home schooled, or attend a private school, the Oconee County Board of Education has done the best they can in a rather tenuous and limited capacity. They always have room to improve, and I hope they concentrate on making the school system as good as they can for the entire county, including those with special needs and circumstances. I do not have any special insight or experience except for twice trying to get appointed to the Board of Education when Dr. Christine Franklin was first appointed back in the late 90's maybe? I encourage everyone to remain active in the educational process of our children.
