More on the Broun Town Hall Presidential threat

Blake Aued of the Banner-Herald made a blog post out of Mark Farmer's comments on the Banner-Herald's story this morning about hearing the first questioner at the Paul Broun town hall ask about who is going to shoot President Obama? Mark Farmer is the witness who has decided to put himself out there for interviews and what not. Now who will be the person to name the man in the red shirt who drove 75 miles to Oglethorpe County last night? Should not take an enterprising Secret Service Agent very long to draw a circle around Lexington and begin to figure our who this is. Then again there is the video the Broun staff was taking. I will give Dr. Broun's staff props for stepping up to the plate on this one so quickly

Oconee to open it up at Town Hall meeting

Informal, as commissioner Margaret Hale says she wants it to be, town hall meeting concerning real Oconee County concerns commencing at the Civic Center on a Tuesday evening 7 to 9 pm. Too bad I will be across Hog Mountain Road in Oconee Veterans Park at my son's soccer game. Even though other bloggers seem to think I am being a tad bit disingenuous of a stretch, I would ask about banning bicycles on Oconee County roads to try and prevent the story from going further than this: Committee member James Morris, however, said problem cyclists are a "minority," according to the minutes, and he felt the county didn̢۪t really have jurisdiction, despite Crowe̢۪s legal review. Crowe made a motion, seconded by committee member Courtney Gale, that the committee continue its discussion of the issue at future meetings, and that motion passed 5-4. At the March 10 meeting of the committee, Chairman Abouhamdan brought the matter up again. Oconee to open it up at meeting | News ...

Editorial: Watkinsville isn't Athens, Congressman | Opinion | OnlineAthens.com

I wish I could take off work Tuesday to go and give Congressman Broun my opinion about health care and his performance at the Watkinsville Civic Center. But most people in Athens can travel down Hog Mountain Road to go let our U.S. House of Representative member know our/their feelings about health care reform. I hope we can avoid the stunts and stick to the facts, but I know we won't by in large. Editorial: Watkinsville isn't Athens, Congressman | Opinion | OnlineAthens.com Shared via AddThis

Broun to host health care forum at the Oconee County Civic Center 10 am Tuesday, September 8th

Sounds like another chance for people to butt heads, or at least let their opinions be heard. Let's hope the stunts and screaming are kept civil and at a minimum. I am more than willing to give Congressman Broun my opinion, but I will be working at the time to pay for my ridiculously expensive Blue Cross Blue Shield premiums.
