Tattoos, roosters, and sinkholes? Oh my!

The future of domesticated fowl inside the city limits was briefly considered near the end of the new business section of the Watkinsville City Council meeting Wednesday evening at Community Center, but the biggest news might be what the executive session yielded in terms of possible future litigation against the city.

Speculation abounds as to whether the much ballyhooed problems in a section of downtown businesses could be the source of concern, or could it be something much more nefarious and or insidious? We will find out and report shortly.

Watkinsville will apparently allowed chicken and roosters in the yard if they are contained, and a sinkhole remains in the back of yard on Katie Lane.

A boilerplate tattoo ordinance was inked from Oconee code with no tattoo and body piercing places on the horizon out here after a second public hearing.

Tickets are now on sale and can be charged with a credit card over the telephone at the number listed below.

Legend will speak about his philanthropy work with Teach for America and his advocacy for equal access to education for all children. He also will perform several of his songs.

After graduating, Legend worked for a consulting group and performed in New York nightclubs. He became an in-demand session musician and songwriter, working with such artists a…

Subject: Rose Creek Stewardship CLEAN UP!
Hi Friends!

Here is your friendly reminder about our Rose Creek Stewardship Roadside (and creek) litter clean up as a part of Keep Oconee Clean and Beautiful Commissions GREAT OCONEE CLEAN UP!Click on that link to see the story I wrote for Patch, and why Melvin Davis wants us to step up our efforts for this event.  It's an interesting story!
The event takes place all over Oconee County on April 21st, but because I will be involved in those efforts on that day, I have scheduled our ROSE CREEK STEWARDSHIP clean up the Sunday before, on April 15.
I HOPE YOU WILL PARTICIPATE IN BOTH EVENTS, but at the very least, let's get our area litter free!
I am hoping that you will meet me at The Covered Bridge at 2:00 on Sunday April 15 and we can sort out the rest of the details from there.
I will have safety vests, bags, gloves (I think) and pick up sticks, and also orange cones to help keep us safe in our efforts.
If you'd like to participate …
