Please attend April 23 banquet - news about FBI investigation

After getting harassed in our local grocery store yesterday ~ Publix ~ by a bunch of teenage Bishop baseball players with the last name of Poynter for wearing a shirt with our President on it and then subsequently being told by a friend's 16 year old daughter with the worst frown on her face she could not be seen with me because of the same shirt and she joined the College Republicans - yes you Madison Hood - the need for education for and enlightening our Oconee, Walton and Clarke County youth is greater than ever. Please attend or at least donate to the Moore's Ford Memorial Committee banquet this Thursday. We simply cannot get over it.    I have been reading voraciously since November 5 and have enclosed three articles and one cartoon - sent by my brother Dave - that had a special impact. The impact of Obama's election on Kenyans is especially fascinating.    To quote Garrison Keilor (see more below),   "The French junior minister for human rights said, 'On this morning, we all want to be American so we can take a bite of this dream unfolding before our eyes.'"    Our nex...

Proof positive that we can effect change here in Oconee County and beyond for Barack Obama.   -------------- From: Carl McGrath <carlmcgrath@yahoo.com> Subject: Thanks! for Heeelp! With phone banking 7pm Tues Oct 14 Date: Wed, 15 Oct 2008 15:56:40 +0000 We did it!  By Noon today we will complete the 450 GOTV phone calls we were given.  Thanks to all who showed up last night and helped with this.  This is huge!  The people we called, and the ones we will be contacting in the remaining 20 days, are first time and sporadic voters.  These are the voters who overwhelmingly vote for Obama.  Why is it important for them to hear from us?  Because they are new to, and typically unfamiliar with, voting procedures like early voting, voting location, photo ID requirements, etc.  Because we contact them, many of these citizens will vote who otherwise would not.  This is one of the main reasons campaig...
