ESP inches closer to expansion

Never heard back from the Watkinsville City Government or any representative thereof about jumping out of an airplane for the benefit of ESP last week, which was rather shoddy leadership in my opinion. Hope it went well, and hope Chuck Williams retires from expanding his timber rights in the State Legislature and continues to work with Extra Special People in their much needed expansion. No one should have to be in a trailer, and this is emblematic of the callous attitude of the majority party toward those in need. The Oconee Enterprise > News > ESP inches closer to expansion

Oconee County Observations: Oconee County’s Easter Egg Hunt At Veterans Park C...

I know I may be in the minority in this opinion, but I do not think any government should have any role in celebrating religious holidays. I am fine with churches sponsoring religious events at government facilities, but think the role of government should end there. That said, it is a rather sad spectacle how this lack of Easter celebration went down, leaving egg on the faces of any number of quasi-governmental agencies. Deal, Carter grapple over state ethics commission

"It's like the country song, 'He's a Brand New Man,'" Carter said. "We've been talking about the ethics commission for years and he's been doing nothing. He's failed to lead on the issue, and suddenly once he gets caught, once he gets challenged for re-election, he all of a sudden wants to delve into this issue. He had a chance to lead and he's failed to do that." Deal, Carter grapple over state ethics commission

Ann Stoneburner and Robert Wyatt want you to consider voting for John Larkin and Maria Caudill for BOC

Hi all,   Robert and I are still interested in defeating the incumbent Oconee County commissioners (John   Daniell and Margaret Hale) in the Republican Primary on May 20 th .    We are hosting a  "meet and greet" for John  Larkin   ( electlarkinboc .org )   and  Maria  Caudill   ( electcaudillcommissioner .org ) , their opponents,  this  Sunday, April 13 th , between 2 and 4 pm.  We would appreciate any of you dropping by to meet the candidates.  It is a very casual event, as I've told friends and neighbors to drop by in their tennis apparel, in church dress, or in their yard work "duds."  Please bring along a friend or family members, if it suits. Most of you probably are not thinking about "crossing-over" in the Primary Election on May 20 th .  As you know, I am, partly for the pleasure of voting against Paul Broun and the two incumbent county commissioners, but partly because the front-runners in the Democratic
