Sundays = More      Starting this Sunday, we will be featuring various new products at our farm stand from our farmer friends! Why are we doing this? Despite our differences of opinion on everything from how to build a fence to eradicating the dreadful squash bug, we all share the same love for what we do.      We've had fellow farmers help us on everything to include bolting cows, broken bush hogs and even electrical problems. Whenever something goes wrong and we need a helping hand, the farmers in the Athens/

Ken Dious: I'm Ready for Victory

From: "Ken Dious, U.S. Congressional Candidate" Date:05/30/2014 1:57 PM (GMT-05:00) T Subject: I'm Ready for Victory   Dear Friends,  I am so grateful for the support my campaign has received. Many have contributed their time and resources and I am so thankful. Together, I believe we can make history in the 10th District. We don't need another Congressman in this district who is not listening to the needs of voters. This novel dances with extraordinary confidence from one era to another, mixing the contemporary with the historical to create a rich and fascinating dialogue across the centuries. 'In Darkness' is stunningly original and hard-hitting." — William Sutcliffe ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ And read this from the author: This is a work of fiction. A deep wound waiting to be healed - restoring order and dignity in the city cemetery

The Watkinsville City Cemetery is an oasis amidst the houses on the east side of the municipality, near the neighborhood once called Sidney. There is a large section of the cemetery that remains a mystery, but perhaps we can work together to dignify the eternal resting spot somewhat better than the current neglected and forgotten (not to mention unmarked) graves of 70 people, more than likely of African-American descent. They deserve to be honored as well. An effort has been undertaken to repair the graves with fill dirt to stop the continued erosion amongst the graves. The most recent grave and bench belong to Larry Sheats,  and as any one who played basketball at Herman C. Michael Park or knew him otherwise  can attest, he was among the best people this county has ever seen. Larry was always ready to help. Now it is our turn to help. Do it for someone you knew there, maybe the Hardens, or the Downs, or any number of other people, but allow me to reminisce about how Larry used
