Oconee County Courthouse finally getting roof work done beginning Wednesday - be careful driving around there
We are all aware that we have had numerous roof leaks during periods of heavy rain, and we are all aware that we have damaged and inoperable air conditioning units on the roof that impact primarily the 3 rd floor. Within the next 2 weeks Ben Hill Roofing Company will begin the process of replacing the roof membrane and 2 rooftop air conditioners on the Courthouse. They will primarily access the roof from the outside with ladders. They will be working during the normal workday as well as at night and on weekends. With good weather, work is expected to take about 1 month. However, in order to repair these significant problems, there will be unavoidable inconveniences.
