Up for Discussion: The New Jim Crow

Image
Sincerely,  Dan Matthews To: oconee@yahoogroups.com From: ppriest@charter.net Date: Sat, 5 Oct 2013 15:28:35 -0400 Subject: [oconee] Up for Discussion: The New Jim Crow   We'll be discussing Michelle Alexander's "The New Jim Crow," an important and award-winning book about racial injustice, for the Oconee Democrats' October book. Local attorney Pam Hendrix will lead the discussion. A reviewer for the New York Review of Books wrote: "Striking . . . Alexander deserves to be compared to [writer and activist W.E.B.] Du Bois in her ability to distill and lay out as mighty human drama a complex argument and history." The group will meet upstairs at Chops and Hops in the Town Center complex (2 S. Main Street in Watkinsville) on Wednesday, October 30th. Participants arrive early to order dinner and chat so that the book discussion begins promptly at 7. Newcomers of any political affiliation and from any county

Ask Paul Broun about the why he holds the US Government hostage Starting **Next Monday**

Image
I think every person in the 10th District needs to FLOOD this Congressman's offices and telephone numbers with questions and comments about the Affordable Care Act. Ask him for forms. Ask him how much his deductible is. Ask him what the best plan for you is. Ask him why he shut down the government while you are at it. Paul Broun needs to be held accountable for holding the United States Government hostage.  Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note® II -------- Original message -------- From: "Congressman Paul Broun, M.D." <rep.paul.broun@mail.house.gov> Date: 10/03/2013 10:06 AM (GMT-05:00) To: danjmatt@bellsouth.net Subject: Constituent Service Days Start **Next Monday** Congressman Paul Broun, M.D. A Message from Congressman Paul Broun Constituent Service Days Start **Next Monday**

Apparently the overwhelming presence of the Oconee County Sheriff's Office shriveled any chance of booty shaking arousal and the kids stroked it on out of the doors, or 70 people got in trouble, depends on who you are listening to.
