House Party For Suzy Compere, Democratic Candidate For HD 113

Image
Come to this house party Sunday Subject: [oconee] House Party For Suzy Compere, Democratic Candidate For HD 113   Oconee County resident Elise Lang will host a house party/reception for Suzy Compere, Democratic candidate for HD 113, on Sunday, September 26th from 2 – 5 p.m. The address is 2063 Macon Highway/441 South, Farmington. Her home is near the Oconee/Morgan County line across from Southeastern Growers tree farm. Not only is this an excellent opportunity to ask questions of Suzy, but it's also a chance to see Elise's one-of-a-kind home that is constructed of hay bales. Some members of the Oconee County Democratic Committee's executive committee have volunteered to cook for the event, but we are looking for more people to help. The committee will reimburse you for your expenses. If you can lend a hand, please let me know. If you need to contact Elise for more specific directions, you can reach her at 706-769-0558, or you can email farmacia@people.pc.com ...

Two Upcoming Political Candidate Forums

Please make your questions known at this Chamber forum as well. Woven brightly,  Daniel J. Matthews, Jr. From: jveit@bellsouth.net Date: Fri, 28 May 2010 02:40:52 +0000 Subject: [oconee] Two Upcoming Political Candidate Forums   There are two political candidate forums taking place in early June. The Chamber of Commerce is hosting the first on June 3, 6 – 9:30 pm at the North Oconee High School Auditorium. Lee Becker and Russ Page are organizing the second. It is taking place June 9, 8 – 10 pm at the Veterans Park Community Center. My understanding is that 113th GHD Democratic candidate Suzy Compere, and BOE Democratic candidate Carter Strickland will be participating in both. I hope that Democratic committee members and other Oconee progressives will attend and show their support. Jonathan Veit Chairman Oconee County Democratic Committee __._,_.___

A clip from Suzy Compere at the Oconee Democratic Committee

Here is a brief clip of the Bostwick homeowner and nonprofit founder talking to the Oconee County Democratic Committee the other evening in Watkinsville.

Suzy Compere introduces herself to the Oconee Democrats

Image
House District 113th Democratic candidate Suzy Compere addressed and answered the considerable questions of the Oconee County Democratic Committee meeting Wednesday evening at the Oconee County Governmental Annex. The Bostwick activist has worked with many well known and hallowed Georgia political giants ranging from Frank Stancil to Zell Miller.  She was urged to run and received assistance in paying for qualifying fees from a wide array of powerful Democratic candidates from Governor among many others including former Athenian Stephanie Stuckey Benfield of Decatur and Patsy Harris of Franklin County. She runs on ambition with compassion and supports small businesses as the main economic generators as she is a small business owner and successful non-profit organizer.  She has given away greenhouses out of state but cannot find a governmental entity to accept one here. Compere is the granddaughter of an Arkansas activist during the Faubus years.  She is a pro-jobs Dem...

Suzy Compere, Democratic Candidate for HD 113, Special Guest At 5/20 Meeting

Suzy needs to give us a little more advance time to get the word out better than 48 hours. Woven sadly,  Daniel J. Matthews, Jr. Date: Tue, 18 May 2010 18:01:50 +0000 Subject: [oconee] Suzy Compere, Democratic Candidate for HD 113, Special Guest At 5/20 Meeting   I just heard from Suzy Compere, Democratic candidate for HD 113, and she will be speaking at our meeting, Thursday, May 20th, 7:30, at the Oconee County Government Annex, 1291 Greensboro Highway. Sorry for the late notice, but this has just been confirmed. Please everyone come so that we can learn about her and come up with ways to help her. Bring family and friends. Bring strangers off the street. Don't let any scheduling conflicts keep you from attending. Oconee County, since it is the largest voting block in the district, is THE battleground for this race. We can help Suzy by turning out democrats, independents, and open-minded Republicans who are tired of the mess the Republican Legislature has go...

Suzy Compere filed for the 113th

Please see below from Patsy Harris. Now we need to begin planning how we will support Suzy both logistically and financially. Jonathan Correction, she will not have any primary opposition in July unless there was other last second filings on the Democratic side. ~ Dan __________________________________________________________ What a pleasure to deliver this news to you all! Our very own Morgan County Democratic Committee Member Suzy Compere has just qualified with the Democratic Party of Georgia to run in the July primary as a candidate for the Georgia House, District 113! The incumbent representative is Bob Smith, who has announced that he will not run for another term. Three Republicans are in the primary race for the seat. Suzy has thought long and hard about this decision, done a lot of research, a lot of soul searching, a lot of sleeping-on-it, and spoken long hours with her very supportive family and state Democratic officials. She will need the support of each and every one o...
