Watkinsville building public restrooms, adding more parking spaces to downtown

Image
The next step in connecting this space to be used during big events like the forthcoming Fall Festival is attempting to do something with the late Cokey Elder property between this new comfort station and Main Street. There are estate issues to be settled I am sure, and at least one amazing old car has already been towed from next to the shed. I look forward to seeing the final product and having more cycling friends in the city. I hope we can have actual bike paths off the streets going to places like Watkinsville Woods and Harris Shoals Park (where there is another public bathroom), Eagle Tavern (where there is another public restroom), and they will all get a considerable workout with the Fall Festival and the OCAF Wine Fest and other events around Rocket Field. The sidewalks are wonderful too.  Watkinsville building public restrooms, adding more parking spaces to downtown

State lawmaker who urged boycott of Stone Mountain endorses MLK monument, with reservations | Political Insider blog

Anyone with a rudimentary understanding of recent Georgia history knows that Stone Mountain was once the birthplace of the Ku Klux Klan and to have a bell as a monument to Martin Luther King, Jr. is a fitting coup de grace of this domestic terrorist ground.
