DPG Chairman Mike Berlon on President Obama's inclusion on Georgia ballot

Image
Will Secretary of State Brian Kemp step up and do the right thing and save the State of Georgia time, money, embarrassment and ridicule? The fact that the President of the United States Barack Obama has already been elected once, sworn in, and been on the ballot in Georgia before has not entered into the legal proceedings in an absolute swindle and joke. Hank Huckaby cost UGA Chester Brown

Regents' immigration policy at heart of Chester Brown issue | ajc.com So now it comes down that Board of Regents policy has adversely affected the University of Georgia recruiting of a 6 for 6 inch 345 pound Samoan athlete who so loved his scholarship offer that he tattooed it on his arm? Do you think this is going to help bring foreign students to Athens? What about the all time Georgia sack leader Richard Tarditz of France? What about offering a scholarship to North Oconee lineman Joseph Scelfo? Who is going to step up to the redneck policies of the Board of Regents? I am damn sure that Florida, Missouri, and Texas A&M would offer this Chester Brown a scholarship. Why are we not keeping the best lineman in the area in quite some time go un-recruited? Didn't his dad used to coach at UGA? We need answers, not scapegoats, but it is only the Democratic legislators who are trying to do anything about our stupid and xenophobic overreaction that is costing us every day at the

Give Joseph Scelfo Jr. a scholarship please?

Chuck Toney, has he announced where he is attending yet? Give this kid a scholarship, Mark Richt! Please? Keep it local.

So Benedict Arnold wants to dictate when and how Clarke County residents determine their voting districts? I think there could be a whiplash effect of opening up a can of whoop-ass on this proposal. Bring your friends to the phone company that won't fund a GOP president.

Yes this is a blatant commercial pitch to try to get you to switch to a progressive telephone company. I use them for my cell phone and long distance service. I think if you mention the code I may get something. I am not sure. CREDO does not have Iphones but my Blackberry is OK and most droid owners seem happy. Ga. Democrats seek repeal of immigration crackdown | Online Athens

Maybe this will begin to show the average good ol' boy redneck tailgaters at UGA football games that the Republican party in Georgia really does not have the best interests of the University of Georgia football team in mind when they created xenophobic laws that have denied us a really big lineman. Seems like big time college football programs like USC (not South Carolina but you can bet Steve Spurrier is laughing at us again), Utah, Brigham Young, Utah State, Hawaii, Boise State and a few dozen other schools have been kicking our ass for the better part of a generation now when it comes to recruiting Samoans and other Pacific Rim athletes. Immigration laws cost UGa an offensive lineman

Image
I would be willing to bet that most of the Republican legislators who voted for the restrictive immigration laws would have reconsidered how they voted if they knew it would cause the beloved University of Georgia an offensive lineman from Samoa. Oh well how about offer the same full ride to an all state lineman from North Oconee High School named Joseph Scelfo. I believe his father coached here. Lights out for the G.O.P.? Not by a long shot. Documents show college merger was carefully scripted | Online Athens

In other words, the dog and pony show that Hank Huckaby hauled out is a complete and total crock of shit. Of course I still think that Gainesville State College-Oconee Campus should change its name to Watkinsville (or Oconee) University, annex the recently abandoned Federal property across the street, make all that agricultural property a viable working farm, and coordinate the curriculum better with the UGA and ABAC and other area institutions of higher education.
