"I running for the residents and businesses of the city of Watkinsville, not against Mr. Link," said Matthews. "I think my opponent has done some great volunteer work with the Fire Department and the City Council, but I intend to come to this job with an open mind and a steady hand." Fatal crash in Bogart

Sheriff, GSP, and EMS units just worked a fatal crash in Bogart on the Atlanta Highway near the Bogart Pantry. The GSP is writing the report. The names of those involved are not being released pending notification of next of kin. Folks, when we are working a scene such as this, your needing to get to a hair appointment, needing to get to Auburn, wanting to get to the Bogart Pantry, etc, simply are not high on our list of priorities at the moment, and we are not just shutting down a highway for fun.
