We are feeding the hunger at the same time celebrating with those that perhaps cannot afford to go to some of the other events in Athens Clarke today. Please join us.
Economic Justice Coalition in conjunction with the UGA Living Wage Group, East Friendship Baptist Church, Delta Sigma Theta, Southern Christian Leadership, Georgia Clients Council, and Rainbow Push plan to give away over 60 bags of Groceries today.
There will be the viewing of the inauguration at the church. Volunteers are needed at the EJC's office beginning at 8:00 this morning. The office is located in the Action Building. The office number is 706-549-1142. We will be moving bags of groceries to the East Friendship Baptist Church located at 485 Arch Street in Athens. The church's number is 706-543-0789.
Then, volunteers will be needed at the church beginning at 10:00 to help fill more bags of groceries.
The event will run from 10:00 to 3:00. The inauguration will be viewed in the sanctuary of the church while the food will be given out in the fellowship hall.
