Watkinsville will always be a historic town, the question is what are you going to do about it?

Subject: Historical First Friday

Put August 2 on your calendars.  Downtown Watkinsville will be full of historical activities during First Friday (6-9).  Here's what we know so far:  At Ashford on Main there will be slide shows and videos of historical scenes, ye old historical book table, Old Copies of the Oconee Enterprise, a station with as scanner where you can share your old historical photos, a group of Civil War ladies having tea, Gary Doster's books, Sons of the American Revolution with their muskets (they will be shooting them on a regular basis during the evening),  a DAR and Colonial Dames booth and of course one for the historical society.
If you have something you want to add please contact Dave Shearon ashformanorbandb@gmail.com  and let him know. who you are, what you want to do and what you need from him (table(s) (long or round), chairs, etc.)  He needs to know soon so you can be part of the publicity.
