This Sunday, I will be reading the historical letters of Louisa Ashford from1pm-3pm during Oconee Historical Society's History on the Lawn.

On Sunday, November 10, there will be Watkinsville's first and largest family picnic, on the lawn of Ashford Manor, from 1 to 6pm.

There will be books, arts, crafts, music and games. With prizes for the best costumes. A chance to tell your stories and have them recorded. Views of county history through pictures and videos. An opportunity to have your family photos and historic documents scanned and entered into the Historical Society's archives.

Bring your own food and beverages. And a table and chairs if you have them. As well as a blanket to sit on. For more information, call 706 372 8530.
